Richard Chapman

Richard Chapman has extensive work experience in the cybersecurity field. Richard is currently working as the Cyber Security Program Director/SOC Manager at National Cyber Group since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at CyberNow Labs from January 2022 onwards. In addition, they worked as a Cyber Security Operations Center Analyst/SOC Shift Lead Mentor at CyberNow Labs from June 2020 to January 2022. Richard also has experience as a Managed Security Operations Center Analyst at Raytheon Intelligence & Space from December 2020 to January 2022. Before transitioning into the cybersecurity field, they worked in the insurance industry as a Territory Recruiter at Colonial Life from December 2017 to February 2019 and as a District Coordinator at Aflac from November 2014 to December 2017. Richard has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on leadership, recruiting, and business development throughout their career.

Richard Chapman's education history is as follows:

From 2001 to 2005, Richard attended Rollins College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics.

Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they studied at Eastern Florida State College and earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies.

Earlier, from 1997 to 1999, Richard studied at Florida Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Additionally, Richard has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Revelstoke Certified Analyst from Revelstoke Security in May 2023, the Cyber Defense Core from Armis in August 2022, and the First Blood and SOC Member certifications from LetsDefend in February 2022. Richard also holds the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from (ISC)², which they obtained in May 2023.

In January 2023, Richard obtained the CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification and the CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification from CompTIA. Richard also received the Proofpoint Certified Insider Threat Specialist 2023 certification from Proofpoint in April 2023.

Furthermore, Richard has the (ISC)² Candidate status, obtained in January 2023, and the Splunk Core Certified User certification from Splunk in October 2020. Lastly, they hold a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification from CompTIA, obtained in July 2020.
