Octavian Popa

Octavian Popa serves as the National Liaison Officer at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since December 2021, focusing on facilitating information exchange between ENISA and Romania, and supporting the dissemination of cybersecurity activities and findings. In addition, Popa is the Manager of the General Division for Institutional Partnerships at the National Cyber Security Directorate since April 2022, and previously held the role of Deputy Director at the same directorate, where responsibilities included implementing the European NIS Directive and enhancing collaboration at national and international levels. Popa’s earlier experience as a Cyber Security Specialist at the National Cyberint Center from July 2008 to June 2021 involved leading teams on cyber threat intelligence and participating in crisis response initiatives.
