Sam Cartledge

Sam Cartledge is an experienced professional in accessibility and community engagement, currently serving as an EL1 Staff Accessibility Researcher at the National Disability Insurance Agency since July 2024. Previously, Sam held roles at Deaf Connect, including Senior Campaign Coordinator and Community Engagement & Special Projects Officer, from July 2021 to June 2024. As the Founder of Deaf Gain Sports, established in September 2022, Sam aimed to create opportunities for Deaf and hard of hearing children in community sports. Prior experience includes various marketing and engagement roles at Expression Australia and serving as Victorian Programs Coordinator at Hear For You Limited, a charity focused on empowering Deaf and hard of hearing teenagers. Sam also worked as Membership Support and Development Officer at Deaf Sports Australia, contributing to Deaf sports initiatives. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Communications in Public Relations from Deakin University and ongoing education in Auslan at Melbourne Polytechnic.
