Kris Raynes has extensive legal experience in prosecutorial roles, currently serving as the Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney since March 2008, while also holding the title of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Raynes has successfully prosecuted a wide range of felonies, including serious drug cases and first-degree murder. Additionally, Raynes has contributed as faculty for the National District Attorneys Association, providing training in locations such as Columbia, SC, Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, and Anchorage, AK. Prior to these roles, Raynes served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney from July 2006 to March 2008 and as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Summit County Prosecutor's Office from May 2000 to July 2006. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminal Justice/Legal Studies from Marshall University.
