Chief Information Security Officer at National Endowment for the Humanities

Henry N. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Henry started their career as an Information Technology Assistant at the University of Michigan, where they provided support and troubleshooting for computer hardware and software issues. Henry then moved on to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where they worked as an IT Specialist, designing system layouts and managing data for compliance projects.

Henry then joined the United States Department of Defense, where they held various roles. Henry first served as an IT Manager/Information Systems Security Designer in the Security Solutions Office, overseeing the development and deployment of multiple IT security systems. Later, they worked as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, leading cross-functional teams and conducting security architecture reviews.

Prior to their current role as the Chief Information Security Officer at the National Endowment for the Humanities, Henry worked at the United States Department of Defense again, providing direct support to the Chief Information Security Officer as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, they led a multi-million dollar initiative and collaborated with teams to improve security posture and develop long-term solutions.

Henry N. completed their education with a master's degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, earning the degree between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a bachelor's degree in Applied Information Assurance from Eastern Michigan University, studying there from 2007 to 2009. Henry started their academic journey at Washtenaw Community College, where they earned an associate's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance between 2005 and 2007.
