Senior Director of Business Developmemt and National Accounts at National Energy Improvement Fund LLC

Trey Muffet has an extensive work experience in the energy improvement industry. Trey is currently working as the Senior Director of Business Development and National Accounts at National Energy Improvement Fund LLC since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Channel Account Manager at Finance of America Home Improvement from May 2021 to April 2023. Before that, Trey worked as a Channel Account Manager at Renovate America from March 2020 to May 2021.

From June 2014 to December 2016, they held multiple roles at Renew Financial, including Eastern U.S. Director of Sales and Director, Strategic Accounts. During their tenure, they worked closely with the VP of Channel Development to develop channel partner strategies, establish relationships in the energy improvement industry, and determine business requirements for sales systems.

Trey's earlier experience includes working as an Adjunct Instructor/Energy Efficiency Expert at Pacific Gas and Electric Company from June 2010 to September 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Efficiency and Sustainability Consultant at Enfluence from May 2008 to October 2014.

In 2012, Trey served as a Product Manager and Energy Model Consultant at Tendril, where they collaborated with cross-functional teams to incorporate a standalone home energy model into the company's product suite. From January 2011 to March 2012, they worked as a Sales Engineer - Energy Performance Model at Recurve, where they onboarded and trained users on Recurve Software and provided consultation to companies on workflow processes and home performance metrics.

Trey's earlier role as the Chief Building Scientist at Sustainable Spaces from March 2008 to January 2011 involved providing quality assurance and training on energy modeling software, as well as frontline support for beta partners and Home Performance Specialists.

Before their work in the energy improvement industry, Trey served as the President and CEO at National Emissary for Environmental Development from August 2007 onwards.

Trey Muffet obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Psychology from the University of Mount Union between 1998 and 2002. Trey then pursued a Master of Arts/Master of Business Administration degree in Psychology and Business from East Carolina University from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and completed a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Systems between 2004 and 2006. Additionally, in 2005, they obtained a certification in Permaculture and Sustainable Community Design from the Lost Valley Educational Center.
