Teresa Tan

Teresa Tan currently serves as the Director of Legal at the National Environment Agency since May 2012, leading a team of lawyers and paralegals to address legal solutions and enforce environmental laws. Prior to this role, Teresa held the position of Senior Manager, Legal at City Developments Limited, overseeing legal issues related to various property sectors and managing a team while providing comprehensive legal support across departments. Earlier experience includes serving as Head of Legal and Corporate Secretariat at AXA, where responsibilities included contract management and advising on complex claims, and as Legal Counsel at Aviva and UIC/Singapore Land, focusing on litigation, contract negotiation, and corporate compliance. Teresa earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Birmingham between 1983 and 1986.
