Michele Samarya-Timm, MA, HO, MCHES, REHS, CPH is a seasoned professional in public health and environmental health, currently serving as a Senior Project Coordinator at the National Environmental Health Association since May 2021. With extensive experience as a Health Officer, Health Educator, and Public Health Communications specialist, Michele has contributed to public health initiatives since October 2009. Prior roles include Health Education Coordinator and Registered Environmental Health Specialist at the Somerset County Department of Health, and occasional writer for barfblog from 2007 to 2021. Michele's volunteer involvement with the National Environmental Health Association includes serving as the Food Safety and Protection Technical Chair and Chair of the Environmental Health Marketing Committee from 2003 to 2010. Academic qualifications include an MA in Homeland Security from the Naval Postgraduate School and both a BS and an MA in Health Education from Montclair State University.
