Alexandra Parisien is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in ecosystem services and environmental research. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation since February 2023, Alexandra previously held the position of Laboratory Manager at the Epstein Ecosystem Ecology Lab at the University of Virginia, where responsibilities included managing student research and training students in various methods. Alexandra also contributed to the Department of Environmental Sciences as a Social Media Manager, significantly increasing the department's Twitter following. With a strong academic background, Alexandra earned a PhD in Ecology from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Duke University. Notable research activities include nitrogen cycling studies, agroecological research, and investigations into species interactions impacting eastern oyster survivorship.
