Jonathan Birdsong

Jonathan Birdsong has a diverse work experience in the field of conservation and government affairs. From 2015 to present, they have served as the Director of the Western Regional Office at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, where they have managed a portfolio of over $60 million in conservation grants and supervised staff across the West. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Principal at BlueWater Strategies, LLC, representing Fortune 500 companies and leveraging their bi-partisan relationships and knowledge of the federal government to increase client value. Before that, from 2002 to 2010, they held various roles at the U.S. House of Representatives, including Legislative Director and Legislative Assistant, during which they played a significant role in passing tax incentives for renewable energy companies, protecting and enhancing habitat for endangered species, and resolving water challenges in California and Oregon.

Jonathan Birdsong has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Jonathan later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The George Washington University School of Business, which they completed from 2008 to 2010.
