Ariam Mogos is an experienced education technology and design professional, currently serving as an Explorer at National Geographic, where storytelling and game design kits for children are developed to explore emerging technologies like AI and IoT. With roles at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, including Emerging Tech Lead and Lecturer, Ariam leads the strategy and development of emerging tech portfolios, while also contributing as a Principal at Magikal Machines, focusing on technology applications for K12 education. Previous consultancy positions at the World Bank and the LEGO Foundation emphasized digital education strategies and play-based learning in crisis contexts. Additional experience includes leadership positions at UNICEF Innovation, where digital learning resources were created for over 135 country offices, and founder of the School of Intercultural Computing, promoting creative computing and racial literacy. Ariam holds an M.A. in Human Rights, Technology and Global Development from Columbia University and a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
