Jamie Kiffel-Alcheh

Jamie Kiffel-Alcheh is an accomplished author and features writer with extensive experience in children's literature and editorial roles. Currently contributing to National Geographic since May 2019, Jamie writes middle-grade books and in-depth features for National Geographic Family. In addition, Jamie has been a features writer for National Geographic Kids since June 2001, producing research-based wildlife and science stories, as well as cover stories on popular films, interviewing notable figures in the industry. Past editorial roles include Editor-in-Chief at AbigailEden.com and managing editor at Clean Plates. Jamie's writing spans various topics, including cultural trends and health, showcasing a diverse skill set honed through positions at outlets like Smashd, Vital Juice, and CarleyK.com. Jamie holds a B.A. in English from Wellesley College and has participated in the Boston University London Media Internship Programme.
