Rachael Strecher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in storytelling and communication across various sectors, particularly in health and development. Currently serving as Vice President of Storytelling at National Geographic since June 2018, Rachael has also held roles such as Sr. Director for Storytelling Grants, Programs and Fellowships and Director of Media Innovation. Prior experience includes five years at The Aspen Institute, where Rachael contributed as Senior Program Manager for the New Voices Fellowship, an initiative aimed at amplifying expert voices from the developing world. Rachael's background also includes a Health Communications Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute and research roles at the University of Michigan, complemented by a Master of Public Health degree from the same institution and a background in journalism as a photographer for The Associated Press.
