Don Kerr

Director, News & Information at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

Don Kerr has a diverse work experience in various roles within the public and private sector. Don began their career in 1996 as an Officer in the United States Air Force, where they served until 2016. During this time, they gained valuable experience in strategic planning and communication. In 2005, they joined the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as the Deputy Chief of Strategic Communications. Don then moved on to work as the Director of Marketing & Communications at CSCI from 2008 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the Congressional Affairs Liaison at the Defense Intelligence Agency. In 2010, they became the Senior Strategist/Planner for Strategic Communications at U.S. Central Command, where they played a crucial role in developing and delivering communication strategies for theater and NSC efforts. In 2012, they joined Clear Resolution Consulting, LLC as a Senior Consultant, responsible for overall strategy and planning activities for a Department of Defense organization. Finally, from 2013 to present, they have been associated with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in various roles, including Director of News & Information and Head of Media Relations. Don Kerr's work experience demonstrates their expertise in strategic communication, planning, and public affairs.

Don Kerr completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Washington State University from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they studied Political Science and Government at Ohio University from 1988 to 1991, but did not complete a degree.
