Karen Wegert

Karen Wegert is the Associate Director of Technical Services at the National Glass Association, a position held since September 2019. Prior to this role, Karen served as Senior Program Manager for Manufacturing Introduction at Tesla from January 2019 to September 2019. An extensive background in operations and engineering includes a tenure as Operations Manager and Applications Engineer at SCHOTT from February 2001 to January 2019, as well as experience as a Process Engineer/Product Testing Supervisor at Sud-Chemie and a Thermal Engineer intern at Vogt-Nem, Inc. Early career development included a Chemical Engineering Co-op at DuPont. Karen Wegert earned a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville, where studies were completed from 1994 to 2000, after graduating from Assumption High School in Louisville, KY, in 1994.
