James McGaugh

James McGaugh currently serves as the US Head of Corporate Affairs at National Grid, leading efforts to drive the clean energy transition in the United States. Prior to this role, James was the Executive Director & Counsel at GE, where responsibilities included managing government relations and developing strategies for state government affairs. James also held positions at Citi as the Massachusetts Market President and Vice President for Government Affairs, and at NSTAR, directing state and federal relations. Early career experiences include legal roles with the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Massachusetts Trial Court, alongside legislative duties with the Ways & Means Committee. Academically, James earned a JD from Suffolk University Law School and completed a management development course at Crotonville.
