Mike Reid

Mike Reid is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in solution architecture and business innovation. Currently serving as Principal Solutions Architect at National Grid since September 2019, Mike previously held various roles at BG Group from November 2009 to March 2017, including Strategic Business Insight & Innovation Consultant for Exploration and Production, where responsibilities included managing a significant IT budget and spearheading transformative technology initiatives. Prior roles at BG Group comprised E&P Solution Architecture Manager and Solutions Architect - E&P Build to Operate, focusing on strategic governance and solution delivery. Earlier in their career, Mike worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at CSE-Controls, delivering SCADA and Data Historian projects, and held engineering positions at Kvaerner FSSL Limited and Banchory Instruments Limited, contributing to critical safety and monitoring systems. Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science from the University of Aberdeen.
