Ben S.

Ben S. has a diverse work experience in the field of data science, machine learning, and intelligence analysis. Ben started their career in 2010 at SRA International as a Counterterrorism & Counterintelligence Analyst. In 2015, they worked briefly at Novetta as a Data Professional. From 2010 to 2019, they served as a Lead Data Scientist in the United States Intelligence Community. Since 2019, Ben has been employed at PPL Corporation, initially as a Manager in Data Science & Machine Learning and currently as the Director in the same department. At PPL Corporation, they focus on leveraging machine learning and advanced statistical techniques to enhance the reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the electrical grid.

Ben S. obtained a Master's degree in Data Science from Southern Methodist University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Penn State University from 2006 to 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Security & Risk Analysis. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2020.
