Ernest Guerriero has a diverse range of work experience spanning various companies and roles. In 1989, they started as a Financial Services Manager at The Augustine Agency, where they sold and marketed financial products and services. Ernest then moved on to The Reis Group as a Group Sales Manager, where they sold individual and corporate pension and welfare plans.
In 1996, Guerriero joined The CUNA Mutual Group as a Pension Specialist. Ernest developed and implemented divisional strategies for executive compensation and pension products and services. Ernest also provided technical assistance to clients and increased overall client satisfaction and retention.
In 2001, Guerriero became the Assistant Vice President of Retirement Plan Marketing at The MONY Group. Ernest directed the Qualified for Success program and worked closely with financial advisors, CPAs, and brokers. Ernest also served as a home office liaison and advocate for the CPA program.
From 2005 to 2006, Guerriero worked at National Advanced Planning Group, LLC as a Partner. Ernest assisted in providing back office planning solutions and acted as a technical resource.
Guerriero then joined National Life Group in 2007 as a Director, where they developed field marketing strategies, cultivated CPA relationships, and conducted sales calls, seminars, training, and coaching.
In 2009, Guerriero held multiple roles at both Guardian Life Insurance Company of America - Central Ohio Agency and National Guardian Life Insurance Company. As Head of Qualified Plan Marketing, they managed direct reports, developed marketing strategies, and designed products for Pension Trusts.
Since 2017, Guerriero has been working at the American Retirement Association as the Director of Technical Education. Ernest provides technical support for marketing online and proctored exams and serves as a subject matter expert in employer-sponsored plans and IRAs.
Ernest Guerriero has a strong educational background in the fields of finance, business administration, and accounting. In 1980, they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Personnel and Labor Relations from Marist College. Prior to that, from 1976 to 1978, they attended Ulster County Community College and obtained an Associate degree in Science with a specialization in Business Administration and Accounting.
Ernest also pursued further education at The American College of Financial Services, where they obtained a Certificate in Life Underwriting (CLU) in 1990. Ernest continued their studies at the same institution from 1986 to 1988, achieving additional certifications including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services.
In addition to their degrees and certificates, Ernest Guerriero also obtained certifications in the field of financial planning. In 2016, they became a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) through The National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), which is part of the American Retirement Association (ARA). Furthermore, they hold additional certifications, including CLU, ChFC, CEBS, CPCU, CPC, and AIF.
