Lauren Lawson-Zilai

Lauren Lawson-Zilai currently serves as the Senior Director of Communications and Media Relations at the National Head Start Association, focusing on advocating for children's success. Additional roles include Executive Member of Dreamers & Doers, Advisory Board member at iHeartMedia and National Digital Roundtable, and participation in the Community Action Board for NBC4 Washington. Previously, Lauren was the Senior Director of Media and Public Relations at Shatterproof, where a national communication strategy was developed to increase awareness of addiction as a public health crisis. Lauren’s extensive experience in public relations began at Goodwill Industries International, progressing through various positions to Senior Director, where significant achievements included securing prominent media placements and developing crisis communication strategies. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a Minor in Mass Communication from Lycoming College.
