Jianqing Xue is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the automotive and transportation sectors. Currently serving as a General Engineer at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since July 2020, Jianqing focuses on the review, analysis, and investigation of safety-related manufacturing defects in motor vehicles. Prior to this, Jianqing held the position of Principal Engineer at Orano from February 2013 to July 2020, where responsibilities included designing spent fuel storage and transportation systems, material research, and project management. Jianqing's experience also includes roles at Caterpillar Inc., where significant contributions were made to machine structure validation and team leadership, as well as at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, developing vehicle crash safety evaluation systems. Early career experience as a Lecturer at the Beijing Institute of Technology included teaching and research in internal combustion engines. Jianqing Xue earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Tianjin University in Internal Combustion Engine.
