Rohit Karthickeyan

Rohit Karthickeyan serves as the Co-Chief Technology Officer at Grassroots, focusing on developing a mobile app that enhances financial literacy for justice-impacted youth through interactive content. As a Co-Founder and Lead Programmer at ThermoBatt, Rohit has created a Python-based platform for advanced thermal analysis of lithium-ion batteries, integrating machine learning for predictive modeling. Rohit led a research team at Rutgers School of Engineering, achieving significant reductions in camera latency and developing deep learning models for image classification. Previous experience includes teaching and curriculum development as a Swim Instructor at Edison YMCA and an intern at Steam Works Studio, where Rohit created affordable robotics kits for underprivileged students. Rohit has also demonstrated leadership in filmmaking as a Team Captain for National History Day, qualifying multiple times for national and state competitions. Rohit is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, expected to graduate in May 2027.
