Michelle Lenze is an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow at the National Immigrant Justice Center since September 2023. Previously, Michelle served as a Legal Policy Intern in the Office on Trafficking in Persons at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where responsibilities included researching civil litigation related to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and drafting policy memos. Other notable experience includes a legal internship at the National Immigration Law Center, where Michelle engaged in advocacy and research on civil rights issues; an Immigration Legal Internship at Ayuda, where trauma-informed interviews and court filings were conducted; and a bilingual paralegal role at Catholic Charities, managing numerous immigration cases. Michelle holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Penn State University.
