Legal and Policy Team

The Legal and Policy Team at the National Immigration Law Center works to promote and protect the rights of low-income immigrants through advocacy, legal counsel, and policy development. They engage in research, draft legal briefs, and inform legislation to influence immigration, public benefits, and employment laws, while providing critical support and resources to community organizations and legal aid programs across the nation. This team combines legal expertise with strategic policy initiatives to address systemic issues affecting immigrant communities.
