Chris Greer

Chris Greer is a Senior Executive at the CHIPS R&D Program since March 2023, specializing in Standards Coordination. Previously, Chris held the position of Senior Executive for Communications Technology at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) from 2013 to the present, and served as the National Coordinator for Smart Grid Interoperability. From August 2011 to March 2022, Chris was the Associate Director for Programs in the Information Technology Lab at NIST. Prior to NIST, Chris worked at the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) as the Assistant Director for IT R&D from 2009 to 2011. Chris holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of California, Berkeley.
