Florent Lecocq is a physicist with extensive experience in quantum computing and superconducting circuits. Currently serving as a physicist and senior research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) since October 2011, Lecocq leads initiatives focused on developing technologies for large-scale superconducting quantum computers. Prior to this role, Lecocq completed a PhD at Université Grenoble Alpes, where research on quantum bits in superconducting circuits earned the C'Nano 2012 thesis prize. Additional experience includes a teaching assistant position at Université de Grenoble, conducting multidisciplinary projects utilizing quantum superconducting circuits, and internships in superconducting electronics and RF noise simulations.
