Katia Delrahim Howlett

Katia Delrahim Howlett, PhD, MPP, MBA, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Division of Extramural Research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), where responsibilities include strategic management and oversight of goals and objectives, alongside serving as Clinical Trials Risk Manager. With a strong background in public health and behavioral sciences, Katia has held key positions such as Senior Scientific Program Manager at NIDA, Co-Chair of the Clinical Trials Operations Workgroup at the National Institutes of Health, and Program Director at Synergy Enterprises, Inc., focusing on substance abuse and mental health. Educational qualifications include dual PhDs in Public Health/Behavioral Sciences from UC San Diego and San Diego State University, and advanced degrees in Business Management and Public Policy.
