Sharon D. Ballard

Sharon D. Ballard has extensive experience in various leadership roles at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since February 1994, including positions as Director of the Office of Internal Management and Planning, Director of OHR Policy, Planning & Accountability Group, and Director of the Workforce Support and Development Division. Additional roles held at NIH encompass Acting Deputy Director of the Office of Human Resources and Director of the NIH Transition & Work/Life Centers. Earlier in her career, Sharon served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbus State University and as Director of Adjunctive Therapies at The Bradley Center, Columbus Regional Health. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Therapeutic Recreation from Baylor University and a Master of Education in Therapeutic Recreation and Adult Education from The University of Georgia.
