Ray Braun

Ray Braun has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the healthcare and real estate industries. Ray is currently the President and CEO of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC). Prior to joining NIC, Braun served as the Dean of the Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University for ten years. During their tenure, they implemented strategies that improved the college's rankings and focused on marketing, finance, faculty management, and student enrollment and retention.

Before their role at Bowling Green State University, Braun was the CEO, President, and Board of Directors member of Cogdell Spencer, Inc. in the healthcare real estate sector. Ray successfully revitalized the company's revenue through a comprehensive analysis of its performance and the implementation of a new vision and strategic direction. Braun also served as the President and CFO of Health Care REIT, Inc., where they held various executive positions, including President, CFO, and COO. Ray was recognized for their industry impact and inducted into the Stifel Nicolaus Senior Housing & Healthcare Real Estate Hall of Fame.

Prior to their executive roles, Braun was the Founder/Owner of Prospects Advisory Group, LLC and also worked as an Associate and Partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. Ray began their career as the Lead Instructor of Finance, Underwriting, and Investment Analysis at the Erickson School, University of Maryland Baltimore County. Overall, Braun's work experience demonstrates a strong background in leadership, strategic planning, revenue growth, and expertise in the healthcare and real estate industries.

Ray Braun pursued their education at various institutions. Ray completed their undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University, where they obtained a BSBA in Accounting & Economics in 1980. Later on, they attended the University of Pennsylvania and achieved a Juris Doctor degree in 1983. In 2009, Ray engaged in professional development at Stanford University, where they earned a certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from the Center for Professional Development. Additionally, in the same year, they pursued an Interactive Leadership program at the Burnham Rosen Group.
