Chris Toomer

Chris Toomer is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in managing technology teams and applications across various organizations. Currently serving as the Software Engineering Manager at National Jewish Health since September 2020, Toomer leads the Custom Applications team at the renowned respiratory hospital. Previously, with the University of Colorado as the Assistant Director of Software Engineering, Toomer oversaw critical application teams impacting tens of thousands of students and employees. At the Community College of Denver, Toomer managed a significant database and application landscape, enhancing data security and compliance. As a co-founder of Orofino Technology Group, Toomer played a key role in strategic business planning for a technology startup. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Fetter Logic, Inc. and First Data Corporation, where Toomer contributed to product development and innovation, resulting in multiple patents. Toomer holds an Executive MBA from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Colorado State University.
