Sam Shopinski is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in community health initiatives and program management. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan since April 2015, Sam oversees various health initiatives, including the CDC 1813 REACH grant and flu/COVID-19 vaccine education, while also leading the Diabetes Prevention Program and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative. Previous roles include Program Manager and Associate Program Manager at the same organization, where Sam focused on reducing health disparities and implementing evidence-based programs. Sam has also contributed to the University of Michigan Health System as a Research Assistant and engaged in international service through roles at International Samaritan and the Peace Corps, underscoring a commitment to health promotion and community development. Educational achievements include a Doctor in Public Health degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Master of Science from the University of Michigan Medical School.
