Christopher Buerger has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Christopher began their career as a Staff Attorney at the Center for Family Representation in 2010 and held this position for six years. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Staff Attorney in the Family Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders. In 2018, they joined the National Legal Aid & Defender Association as Counsel, focusing on Civil Legal Services. In 2023, they were promoted to Chief Counsel, maintaining their role in Civil Legal Services.
Christopher Buerger began their education at American University in 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Literature in 2005. Christopher then pursued a Master's degree in Public Policy at Oregon State University from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Christopher attended Columbia Law School from 2007 to 2010, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree, specializing in Law.
