Matthew Ito

Past President at National Lipid Association

Matthew Ito, PharmD, FCCP, MNLA, CLS has extensive work experience in the field of pharmacy and lipidology. Matthew is currently serving as the Associate Director of Medical Affairs for CV/Lipids at Regeneron. Prior to this, they held the position of Past President and Board of Directors member at the National Lipid Association. Matthew is also a member of the Board at the Foundation of the National Lipid Association and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. Matthew has held senior positions at Amarin Corporation as a Senior Medical Science Liaison and MSL Mentor Lead, and at Sanofi US as Sr. MSL-North America Medical Affairs. Matthew also has a strong academic background, having served as a Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of the Cardiovascular Pharmacodynamics Laboratory at OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy. Matthew Ito has contributed to the field of lipidology through their involvement in various organizations, including the Accreditation Council of Clinical Lipidology. Matthew began their career in academia as a Professor and Vice Chair at the University of the Pacific.

Matthew Ito, PharmD, FCCP, MNLA, CLS completed their education history with a Post Doctorial Fellowship in Pharmacokinetics from the University of Southern California in 1987-1988. Prior to this, they obtained a Pharmacy Practice Residency from the same university in 1986-1987, and a Pharm.D. degree from the University of Southern California in 1982-1986. Matthew completed their Prepharmacy studies at California State University, Los Angeles from 1980-1982, and at Pasadena City College from 1978-1980.
