National High Magnetic Field Laboratory
Roxanne Hughes has been actively involved in education and research, currently serving as a member of FSU's Anti-Racism, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force at Florida State University. Roxanne is also the Director of the Center for Integrating Research and Learning at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, a role Roxanne has held since 2011. Prior to this, Roxanne worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at FSU, and as a High School Science Teacher at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School. Roxanne holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy from Florida State University, a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from LaSalle University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from LaSalle University.

National High Magnetic Field Laboratory
The only facility of its kind in the US, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory is the largest and highest-powered magnet laboratory in the world. Headquartered in a sprawling 370,000-square-foot complex at Florida State University in Tallahassee, the lab also includes sites at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and the University of Florida in Gainesville. Together these three institutions operate the lab, collaborating in a unique, interdisciplinary way to advance basic science, engineering and technology in the 21st century.
