Laura Uzzell

Program Manager, Service-Learning Programs at National Medical Fellowships

Laura Uzzell is a highly experienced professional with a range of work experience in various roles. Laura began their career in 2012 as an Administrative Assistant at Essex Fells Country Club Inc. In 2015, they worked as a Research Intern at Princeton University where they conducted extensive research and experimentation with the Soboyejo Group on ceramic water filters and water purification. In 2016, they held three roles simultaneously: Program Manager at the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute at Princeton University, Passport to the World: Student Ambassador at Jackson State University, and Residence Counselor Mentor at the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute at Princeton University. In 2017, they were a Scholar for the TOMODACHI KAKEHASHI Inouye Scholars Program and held two roles at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School as an Elementary Science Teacher and Academic Support Teacher. In 2020, they worked as a Medical Scribe & Assistant at AM/PM Walk-in Urgent Care and in 2021 they became the Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School. Currently, they are the Program Manager of Service-Learning Programs at National Medical Fellowships, Inc.

Laura Uzzell received their Masters of Biomedical Science from Rutgers University in 2020, having studied Biomedical Sciences, General. Prior to this, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, Pre-Medicine from Jackson State University in 2017. Laura began their educational journey at Science Park High School in 2009.
