Michellene Davis, Esq. has extensive experience in the public and private sectors. Michellene began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the Essex County Office of the Public Defender, where they were first chair as defense attorney in over 30 Jury and Bench trials. In 2003, they were recruited by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Health. In 2005, they were appointed Executive Director/CEO of the New Jersey Lottery, becoming the youngest ED in the Division's history and one of the youngest in the nation. In 2007, they joined the Department of the Treasury State of New Jersey as Chief of Staff/Deputy State Treasurer/Acting State Treasurer, where they administered a $30M+ state budget and a $70B state pension investment portfolio. In 2008, they joined the Office of the Governor - State of New Jersey as Senior Special Counsel/Chief Policy Counsel, where they orchestrated the selection of state judges and county prosecutors. In 2010, they joined RWJBarnabas Health as Executive Vice President & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, where they restructured the Corporate Affairs Division and created and drove a centralized communication/marketing plan. Michellene also cultivated community-based, elected, ecumenical and civic relationships to bolster intra-agency collaboration, thought leadership positioning, and brand reputation. In 2021, they became President and CEO of National Medical Fellowships, Inc.

Michellene Davis, Esq. holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard University in Corporate Social Responsibility: Strategies to Create Business Good and Social Value, an Executive Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School in Social Impact Strategy, and a Bachelor of Arts, English, Honors Program from Seton Hall University with a major in English and a minor in Political Science. Michellene also holds a License to Practice Law in New Jersey from the New Jersey State Bar, obtained in 1997, and is a Certified Speaker/Trainer/Coach from The John Maxwell Team.
