Mita Tarafder

Mita Tarafder is a Chief Scientist at the CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory since August 2014, specializing in research, mentoring, information and data management, and entrepreneurship management. Mita has been a Scientist at the National Metallurgical Laboratory, CSIR since August 1991, focusing on information systems, fractal analysis, image and signal processing, finite element modeling in metallurgy and materials science, and computational fracture mechanics. Mita Tarafder's education includes a PGCEM in Entrepreneurship Management from XLRI Jamshedpur (2012-2013), a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University (2006-2010), an M. Phil in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge (1989-1990), and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur (1983-1986).
