Kala Gibson

Kala Gibson is a senior vice president and business banking executive with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Kala currently serves on the board of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Gibson began their career in 1998 as a senior vice president and group manager for business banking at Comerica Bank. In this role, they led a team of bankers and expanded the bank's market share through loan acquisition and deposit gathering. Kala also provided high levels of customer service to the bank's customer base.

In 2011, Gibson joined Fifth Third Bank as a senior vice president and business banking executive. In this role, they managed a team of bankers focused on providing excellent customer service and driving revenue growth through increased banker productivity. During their time at Fifth Third Bank, they successfully managed the growth of the loan portfolio by 21 percent in just 18 months. Kala was also named the #1 Business Banking Loan Production Group for 2012.

Kala Gibson completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General at Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Finance at Grand Valley State University. Kala also holds a certification from The Risk Management Association in Credit Risk Certification.
