Deborah Carioto

Deborah Carioto has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Deborah began their career in 1984 with the American Lung Association, where they served in various roles including Director of Administration/Finance and Executive Director. Deborah also worked as the Statewide President and COO for the organization in New York State. Deborah's responsibilities included overseeing legal and human resources, implementing organizational transitions, and managing financial operations.

In 2001, Deborah worked as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at St. Joseph's College, where they taught courses and developed syllabi. Deborah also served as a part-time consultant for the NY Association of Collaborative Professionals, providing management consulting and executive leadership.

Deborah joined the Community Development Corporation (CDC) of Long Island in 2013 as the Vice President of Marketing and Development. In this role, they created and implemented fundraising strategies and secured significant grant income for the organization.

For the National MS Society, Deborah held several positions, including Chapter President - Long Island, Associate Vice President of Services, and currently as the Associate Vice President of Financial Planning and Analytics. Deborah'sresponsibilities included enhancing partnerships, operationalizing strategies, and overseeing expense forecasting and analytics.

Deborah Carioto completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Excelsior University from 1994 to 1998. Deborah also pursued a Masters in Public Policy at Stony Brook University from 1998 to 2000, specializing in Political Science - Public Policy and Administration.
