Taissa Morimoto

Taissa Morimoto is an experienced policy coordinator currently with the National Network of Abortion Funds since October 2021. Previously, Morimoto served as Senior Policy Counsel at the National LGBTQ Task Force from October 2016 to October 2021, where significant contributions included advocating for the 2020 Census completion, leading LGBTQ-focused sex education projects, and improving housing advocacy for LGBTQ individuals. Morimoto also held roles as a Policy Research Fellow at SIECUS, contributing to research on sexual health disparities, and as a Certified Legal Intern at The Source Program, providing legal support in domestic violence cases. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree focused on Family Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology, both obtained from the University of Florida.
