With a long-standing career at NOAA that began in June 2003 as a Research Fisheries Biologist, Jamal has consistently contributed to advancements in aquatic science. Jamal holds a PhD in Fisheries and Aquatic Science from the University of Washington, earned between 1999 and 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Connecticut College, completed in 1997.
