Terry Nichols

Terry Nichols is a Physical Scientist at the National Tsunami Warning Center within NOAA since October 2018, specializing in time series signal processing, tidal analysis, ocean modeling, and tsunami target detection. Prior to this role, Terry served as a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin from February 2000 to October 2018, focusing on active and passive electro-optical system performance modeling and signal simulation. Terry's expertise also includes a tenure as a Senior Scientist at Data Fusion Corp from October 1997 to February 2000, where responsibilities involved hyperspectral and radar space-time adaptive processing data simulation and analysis. Terry holds a PhD in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines, a Master of Science in Geophysics from Montana Technological University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from Montana State University-Bozeman.
