Thomas Galarneau

Research Physical Scientist And Federal Team Lead

Thomas Galarneau is a Research Physical Scientist and Federal Team Lead at NOAA's National Severe Storms Laboratory, where leadership focuses on the S2S and Extreme Weather Team to enhance understanding of severe storm hazards. Prior to this role, Thomas served as a Scientist III and Team Lead at the University of Oklahoma's CIWRO, contributing to the integration of the OU CASS program and leading the UAS program. Thomas also held positions as an Assistant Professor at The University of Arizona, a Project Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Research Assistant at the University at Albany. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, an M.S. in Atmospheric Science, and a B.S. in Atmospheric Science, all obtained from the University at Albany.
