Eleanor Darlington is an experienced Programme Manager at the National Oceanography Centre, responsible for developing the Marine Facilities Programme to support research funded by the Natural Environment Research Council. This role involves coordinating access to advanced research vessels and marine equipment for the UK ocean science community. Eleanor's prior roles include positions as an Ocean Engineering Technician at the University of Exeter, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Loughborough University where project management and geospatial research were primary responsibilities, and various research assistant roles at institutions such as the Norwegian Polar Institute and National Oceanography Centre Southampton. Eleanor holds a Ph.D. in Glaciology and Oceanography from Loughborough University and an MSci in Oceanography from the University of Southampton.
