Maria-Daphne Mangriotis is a marine seismo-acoustic researcher at the National Oceanography Centre since March 2023, with a strong academic and research background in geophysics. Prior experience includes a research associate role in coda wave interferometry at The University of Edinburgh from December 2019 to March 2023, and a research fellow position focused on reservoir geophysics at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, between August 2018 and July 2019. Additional roles include research associate at Heriot-Watt University (2013-2018), consultant at EUCENTRE (2011-2012), and research fellow at ITSAK (2009-2010), as well as multiple research positions at Chevron and a staff geophysicist role at Berkeley GeoImaging. Maria-Daphne obtained a PhD in Applied Geophysics and an MS in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, following a BA in Geology-Physics/Mathematics from Brown University.
