Samarpita Sengupta

Samarpita Sengupta, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Research at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine since January 2024. An active member of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) since June 2017, Samarpita holds positions on the Board of Directors, as a liaison with the National Postdoctoral Association, and leads various working groups and committees. Prior experience includes directing research and serving as an assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where contributions to the Physician Assistant Studies program and the O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute were significant. Samarpita's scholarly background is supported by a Ph.D. in Cell Regulation from UT Southwestern, an MS in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya, and a BS in Human Biology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
