Dane S.

Dane S. is a Civil Engineering Project Specialist with the National Park Service since August 2023, focusing on the management of Architect/Engineer services and construction contractor activities within the Midwest region. Previous experience includes serving as a Civil Engineer at the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) from August 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities involved airfield pavement inspection and design and construction tasks. Earlier roles included a student trainee position at NAVWAR, conducting research and development, and a similar position at NOAA, compiling tsunami research for international communities. Additionally, experience at NAVSEA involved providing technical direction for surface ships, and an environmental engineering internship at HDR focused on water quality reports. Dane S. holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, along with a high school diploma from Punahou School.
