Joy Pierce is a dedicated professional in the field of public history with a Master of Arts from American University and a dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Virginia Tech. Currently serving as a Records Management Fellow at the American Conservation Experience, Joy partners with the National Park Service to aid in managing records for historic preservation grants. Previous experience includes an internship at Tudor Place Historic House & Garden, assisting with collections management, and a role at the National Endowment for the Humanities as a Pathways Intern, contributing to the grant cycle process. Joy has also held various mentoring and archival roles, including transcribing oral histories for the Montgomery Oral Legacy Project and guiding first-year history students at Virginia Tech.
