Katy Warner, PhD, is a seasoned Wildlife Biologist and Natural Resource Program Manager with the National Park Service since October 2020, overseeing programs at Chaco Culture National Historical Park and Aztec Ruins National Monument. Previously, Katy served as Program Director for the Natural Resource Management Field Institute at Colorado Mountain College, facilitating practical experiences for undergraduates in collaboration with various agencies and organizations. Katy earned a PhD in Ecology from Colorado State University, with research focused on anthropogenic impacts on wildlife, particularly the effects of noise pollution on bat communities. Additional experience includes roles as Research Associate within the National Park Service, Conservation Biology Research Technician at Lewis & Clark College, and Preserve Steward under the Nature Conservancy, among others. Educational qualifications include an MS in Land Resources/Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University.
