Melissa Buchanan

Melissa Buchanan is an experienced curator with extensive expertise in the field of history and collections management. Currently serving as a Curator for the National Park Service since May 2023, Melissa previously held positions at the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum from August 2007 to May 2023, including Curator of Collections and Assistant Collections Curator. Melissa's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History from the University of West Georgia (June 2005 - June 2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Charleston (August 1999 - May 2003).
